Install Salamnder Social Studio

Connection details, tool behavior, and publishing safeguards for AI assistants.

Plan, review, and publish personal social drafts with the AI assistant you already use.

Choose a plan and personal or business use to get your secure connection address and key. Add those details to the AI assistant you already use, then create and manage social posts from your conversations.

Get access, then connect

Choose a plan and personal or business use, save the secure connection details shown after checkout, and follow the instructions below for your AI assistant. Saving a draft never publishes it. A post goes live only when you choose to publish it.

  1. Start free or choose a paid plan. Start with the free plan (100 assistant calls a month, no card required), or subscribe to Starter or Studio, then choose personal or business use. Your assistant can call get_access_link to prepare this link.
  2. Connect your social accounts. On your account page, press Connect for LinkedIn, X, or your Facebook Page (Instagram comes with the Page). Your assistant can only post to accounts you connect here.
  3. Create a key for your assistant. In the same place, under AI assistants, add a connection. Each assistant gets its own key, shown once.
  4. Connect your assistant. Follow the instructions for your AI assistant below.
Advanced connection compatibility

The initialize handshake no longer needs the key first; authenticated tool calls still require the Bearer key. Do not use Google-login DCR for this connection.

Let your assistant set it up

Paste this into your AI assistant. Tools that can change their own settings (Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI) add the connection for you; chat apps (ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Grok) walk you through each click.

Show the prompt
Please connect the Salamnder Social Studio connector (a remote MCP server) to this assistant for me.

Connection details:
- Name: salamnder-social-studio
- URL: https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/api/mcp
- Transport: Streamable HTTP
- Authorization header: Bearer <PASTE YOUR KEY HERE>

If the key above still says <PASTE YOUR KEY HERE>, stop and ask me for my key first. I can copy it from Salamnder Social Studio → Account → AI assistants.

Step 1. If you can run commands or edit your own settings files, add the connector yourself:
- Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http salamnder-social-studio https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <PASTE YOUR KEY HERE>"
- Cursor: add the entry below to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (merge with any existing mcpServers).
- Gemini CLI, VS Code, or another MCP client: add the same url and Authorization header to its MCP config.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "salamnder-social-studio": {
      "url": "https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer <PASTE YOUR KEY HERE>"
      }
    }
  }
}

Step 2. If you cannot change your own settings (for example ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Grok, or a phone app), walk me through it one step at a time and wait for me to confirm each step:
- ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → turn on Developer mode if asked → Create. Use the URL above. If it opens a Salamnder Social Studio sign-in page, I paste my key there.
- Claude.ai or Claude Desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Use the URL above, click Connect, and I paste my key on the Salamnder Social Studio sign-in page.
- Grok: add a custom connector with the URL above, and add the Authorization header if it offers one.
On a phone, if the option is missing, tell me to do it once on the website instead.

Step 3. Once connected, call the list_connections tool to confirm it works and tell me which social accounts are live.
If none are connected yet, tell me to open Salamnder Social Studio → Account → Social accounts and press Connect for LinkedIn, X, or Facebook, then check again.

Rules: do not publish, schedule, or save anything during setup. Do not repeat my full key back to me.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Apps. Enable Developer mode if prompted.
  2. Create a connector. If Create is missing on mobile, use chatgpt.com once to add it.
  3. Use https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/api/mcp as the connection address.
  4. Set Authorization to Bearer <key>.

Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Use https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/api/mcp and the same Bearer authorization header.
  3. For Claude Desktop, add the connection to the MCP configuration file.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "salamnder-social-studio": {
      "url": "https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer <key>"
      }
    }
  }
}

Cursor

Add this configuration to mcp.json. Use the Bearer header instead of browser-based sign-in.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "salamnder-social-studio": {
      "url": "https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer <key>"
      }
    }
  }
}

Gemini

Import https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/openapi.yaml as an OpenAPI action, or use https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/api/mcp when MCP Streamable HTTP is available. Both use the same Bearer key.

Grok

Add https://www.salamndersocialstudio.com/api/mcp as a custom connector and use Authorization: Bearer <key> when headers are supported.

Available tools

list_connections

When to use: check which personal LinkedIn/X/Facebook/Instagram/Threads accounts are live before schedule_draft or publish_draft. No tokens returned.

When to use: queue a saved draft for later. Pass id, scheduledFor (ISO with offset, e.g. 2026-09-20T09:00:00-07:00), and idempotencyKey. Does not publish — a later cron job fires the queue.

get_scheduled

When to use: read one scheduled post (full draft + time + status) before editing or cancelling. Does not publish.

update_scheduled

cancel_scheduled

When to use: cancel a pending queued post so it will not fire. Only while pending. Does not publish.

Safety and publishing rules

  • save_draft saves only.
  • schedule_draft queues a post for the scheduler.
  • publish_draft is the explicit post-now action.
  • Personal and business subscriptions use your own connected social accounts. Team workspaces are not available.

Review the Privacy Policy for stored drafts, published-post metadata, and data sent through the assistant host you choose. Questions or problems: sal@salamndersocialstudio.com.
